The OLACEFS Presidency cordially invites Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) to participate in a specialized session dedicated to the analysis of multidimensional poverty and its applications in public auditing.
The event will feature the presentation of the Latin American Multidimensional Poverty Index, developed by ECLAC, highlighting its potential to strengthen the oversight work of SAIs. Practical experiences will also be shared, including an audit case from Costa Rica.
In addition, the session will include the presentation of an initiative from the INTOSAI Working Group on Evaluation of Public Policies and Programs (WGEPPP), focused on developing methodological guidelines for auditing multidimensional poverty.
This meeting represents an opportunity to exchange knowledge and reflect on innovative audit approaches that allow institutions not only to understand how many people live in poverty, but also the specific deprivations they face across different dimensions of life.
The session will take place on June 29 at 10:00 a.m. (Brasilia time) via Microsoft Teams.
