The Presidency of OLACEFS is held by the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), represented by Minister Vital do Rêgo Filho, President of the TCU. The Court was elected unanimously at the 34th OLACEFS Ordinary General Assembly, in accordance with Resolution No. 16/2025/AG, dated November 28, 2025, in the city of Fortaleza, Brazil.

Minister Vital do Rêgo Filho began his public life at the age of 25 and has had a distinguished career in the Legislative branch and in government auditing in Brazil. A physician and lawyer, he served as a city councilor, state representative, federal representative, and senator until he was appointed by the Federal Senate in 2014 to join the TCU.

In the Senate, he chaired important committees, including the Constitution and Justice Committee, and served as rapporteur for significant reforms and legal frameworks, such as the new Code of Civil Procedure, the Penal Code, and strategic legislation in the areas of telecommunications, arbitration, and oil royalty distribution. Throughout his career, he has received various distinctions from national and international institutions for his work in favor of justice, public administration, and integrity, including recognition from the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), the Federal Council of Medicine, the Superior Labor Court, and the Brazilian Armed Forces.

He also appears in political influence rankings compiled by the Inter-Union Department of Parliamentary Advisory Services (DIAP), Veja magazine, and international studies, which have highlighted his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to strengthening institutions. Since joining the TCU, Minister Vital do Rêgo has actively contributed to improving government auditing and strengthening good public governance in Brazil.
