The Special Technical Commission for the Environment (COMTEMA) was created in November 1998, during the VII Ordinary General Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization and Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS). The commission aims to promote environmental audits and contribute to the development of studies related to the control of environmental management, promoting good environmental governance, and guaranteeing the strengthening and integration of the SAI members of the Organization.
