On February 11 and 12, 2016, the “Communication Workshop for the installation of technical capacities in the Presidency of the Technical Commission for Citizen Participation (CTPC) and Special Technical Commission for the Environment” was held in the city of Asunción, Paraguay. (COMTEMA) of the OLACEFS”, as part of a pilot project presented by the Comptroller General of the Republic of Paraguay that was financed by the OLACEFS-GIZ Regional Cooperation Program.

The objective of the workshop was to enhance the technical capabilities of the staff of the SAI of Paraguay to strengthen the internal and external communication of CTPC and COMTEMA of the OLACEFS, through:

– the exchange of experiences and good communication practices that could contribute to the task carried out by said bodies of the Organization;

– help enhance visibility for the internal and external accountability of the committees and improve their technical support materials; and

– the analysis of the added value represented by social networks and technological tools for the communication of committees.

With the execution of this project, it is expected to support the aforementioned commissions in the construction of a communication plan, through the support of expert technical professionals from SAIs in the region.

The workshop was directed by Mariela Azofeifa, Head of Press and Communications of the Comptroller General of Costa Rica and representatives of the SAIs of Brazil and Chile also participated, along with the management team of the CGR of Paraguay.
