The OLACEFS’ Public Works Audit Working Group (GTOP), chaired by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile, is pleased to invite the entire community to the webinar “Relevance of control in the function of environmental protection. The challenge of MEL management in the region,” which will take place next November 17 at 11:00 a.m. (Chile/GMT-3).

This webinar aims to present the main findings of the Coordinated Audit of Mining Environmental Liabilities (CA MEL), as well as to provide general information on the problem of Mining Environmental Liabilities and the challenges and perspectives of SAIs in environmental control in the region.

This session will count with the participation of Mr. Jorge Bermúdez, in his capacity as President of the OLACEFS GTOP; Ms. Rosa María Flores, PhD in Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM); Mr. Benjamín Reyes, Auditor of the Environment Unit, Department of Environment, Public Works and Companies, Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile; Mr. Achim Constantin, Project Director, German Cooperation Program for regional cooperation for the sustainable management of mining resources in the Andean countries (MINSUS); and, Mrs. Loreto Valenzuela, Head of the Department of Environment, Public Works and Companies, Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile.
