The OLACEFS Public Works Audit Working Group (GTOP) is pleased to invite you to the virtual event Pressures on Biodiversity and Ecosystems: Towards proper sustainable management of mining environmental liabilities.
The virtual session is held as a Parallel Event, within the framework of the Fifth Meeting of the Sustainable Development Forum in Latin America and the Caribbean, and will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022, from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in Chile (GMT -3). The session aims to highlight the importance of advancing toward the proper management of environmental liabilities to reduce pressures, damage, and risks to communities, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
The meeting is convened by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the German Cooperation through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources of Germany (BGR), the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), the Association of Ibero-American Geology and Mining Services (ASGMI), and the Ibero-American Federation of Ombudsman (FIO).
