As part of the Training Course for Trainers in Citizen Participation Strategies of the Citizen Participation Commission of OLACEFS, on October 19th and 20th, 2022, the Face-to-face Workshop was held in the city of Lima, Peru. Additionally, on October 21st, an Innovation Workshop on Citizen Participation Strategies was held to complement the participants’ knowledge with the support of the GIZ.

Both workshops were attended by representatives of the supreme audit institutions of Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Representatives of the Office of the Comptroller of Bogotá and the Honorable Court of Auditors of Buenos Aires were also present.

The objective of the workshops was to socialize the work prepared by the participants as part of the course and identify new methodologies that allow to improve or implement new mechanisms of citizen participation in their entities.

It should be noted that this is the second version of the Training Course for Trainers in Citizen Participation Strategies and, like the first promotion, the participating entities are committed to replicating a course in their respective institutions.
