The OLACEFS Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination Group (GTG), which is led by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile, held a workshop entitled “Guide to Inclusive Language” during the OLACEFS General Assembly in Oaxaca, Mexico.
The main objective of the workshop, which was held during the technical session on Wednesday, September 23, was to show the participants the working document on the Inclusive Language Guide prepared by the GTG, specifically by the Gender, Inclusion, and Diversity Observatory (GID), and to carry out different awareness-raising activities on the subject.
The presentation was made by Daniela Santa Silva, a representative of the coordination of the Working Group on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, accompanied by Gabriela Andrades and Nayaded Labbé
Over the course of the workshop, different dynamics were presented that allowed the participants to express their opinion on the topic in addition to contributing with concrete proposals to provide feedback on the inclusive language document, thus ending the participation stage and allowing the GTG to present the final instrument on November 25 at the event commemorating the International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women.
Finally, this workshop ended with the choice of the title of the document chosen by applause from the participants. If you wish to read the document presented in this workshop, we invite you to review it here.
