Tomorrow, August 23, 2022, the OLACEFS Working Group on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination (GTG) will kick off the planning workshop for the Coordinated Audit on Gender-Based Violence “State Response in the Prevention, Punishment, and Eradication of Violence against Women.”
This workshop will be held in the capital of Paraguay and will consist of 3 days of hard work. On the first day, training sessions will be held on subjects related to gender violence and will be transmitted virtually. These days will include the participation of the following: Dr. Érika Guevara Rosas, Director for the Americas of Amnesty International; Ms. Ana Pavón, Head of the Department of Comprehensive Health of the Ministry of Women of the State of Paraguay; Ms. Daniela Santana Silva, Head of Unit for Cooperation and International Relations, Comptroller General of the Republic of Chile, GTG OLACEFS Coordination; and Ms. Pilar Callizo, Senior Expert of Paraguay, Follow-up Mechanism of the Convention of Belém do Pará (MESECVI). Days two and three will be for practical work where the audit teams will work on the planning matrix and will resolve doubts about the audit together with the expert consultant and the team from SAI Chile, who lead this audit.
It should be noted that this workshop is expected to be one of the most important aspects of this audit that will establish the basis for the success of this work.
